I kinda headcanon that would be like a therapy animal for him in jail if pokemon were a thing in that universe, cuz it would be round and pinkish like Kamila's hair, and when it evolves into Walrein, it's pink and has the same hair shape that he does, and is pink like his painter's smock. In fact Jowd with any stage of the Shiny Spheal line would be cool. Pokemon trainer Jowd? I'm not picky lol."
a shiny spheal is so perfect... so jorb-like... The comparison between Spheal and Kamila's hair colour made me think of Jowd perhaps making the same connection, and taking comfort in the small link to the daughter he has otherwise left behind. (whether that is sweet or depressing is up to you :') )
