The Old Legend of Gamiserun
Legends... Fables... Our world is filled with such stories of old, recounting the many tales flowing on endlessly along the very river we call "time"... But there is one particular story that has always stood out from among the rest, recounted and retold for many generations...
This legend began with the birth of a special dragon. Named "Gamiserun", this dragon was loved by its parents and adored by all...except for one. His name was Tenebrae, the evil God of Equivalence and Master of the Element of Balance, and he held quite a bitter resentment towards Gamiserun. This resentment grew until he eventually attacked Gamiserun and nearly brought them to the edge of their death. It was only by the timely intervention of the goddess Pyrella was Gamiserun's life spared. Tenebrae was banished to the Underworld, but he swore to return one day.
Many years passed, and the world of Radium prospered, free of darkness. To express their gratitude towards the seven Divine Dragons and Gamiserun, a special family constructed the very first kingdom. This kingdom would be known as Journalius, a safe haven where hope and peace flourished, and where dreams came true. Princess Ulema, the elder of the king and queen's two children, was a kind and benevolent girl, praised by her parents and adored by all. Her brother, Prince Algo, was a shy and quiet boy who preferred to stick his nose into books. But at the same time, he was also jealous of his sister's recognition. As Ulema's praises continued, his jealousy grew as his mind began to melt into corruption... It was at that moment that he would finally seek the attention that he thought he never deserved.
From the corruption of the prince, creatures of destruction - the agents of darkness - were born. These were the Void Scouts, monsters created from a dark matter. With his new subjects, the prince plagued the kingdom of Journalius with fear and death. Hope fell to despair, the dreams amalgamated into horrible nightmares and many innocent lives were slaughtered. Those who did survive Algo's attack and the invasion of the Void Scouts were forced to seek shelter within the castle walls. It was a dark day, and the once beautiful land was stained with the blood and dust of the fallen. King Zoresco, in particular, was wracked with a great guilt over the divorce of his wife, Queen Ursula, and the fear that Tenebrae was about to emerge from the Underworld and seek revenge.
Saddened by the despair of the survivors from the safe haven of Mt. Tycheros, Gamiserun knew they had to do something. They took off towards Journalius, followed by the rest of the dragon tribe. The winged reptiles valiantly began to strike back against Prince Algo's army. But their power alone could only do so much to eradicate the threat. Seeing the dragons fighting back, the people's hopes began to return. They decided to join the dragons in conquering the enemy. Led by King Zoresco and Princess Ulema, the people began to strike back against the forces of evil.
The war waged on for seven days and seven nights. Many lives were lost...yet, of all races, the fairies suffered the most. Still, they continued to fight despite the odds. Princess Ulema and the rest of the fairy tribe gathered her father and all the surviving humans and monsters to the castle and sent it high into the sky, where Prince Algo and the Void Scouts would never be able to reach them. The dragons then proceeded to conjure a magical barrier to secure the kingdom's safety before joining the fairies in the fight against Algo.
The war finally ended when Gamiserun unleashed a tremendous power, eradicating all of the Void Scouts and saving the world from the threat of darkness. Prince Algo was sealed away as punishment for his corruption, and peace was finally restored. This peace came with a large price, however...the entire fairy race became extinct, having volunteered to sacrifice themselves to aid in the victory. In order to ensure that another war never happens again, Gamiserun allowed themselves to fall into an eternal sleep, only awakening should the world need their assistance once more.
This is the Legend of Gamiserun, the tale that has been passed down through the ages...a reminder of what had happened long ago... And now, a new legend is about to be born, one that will soon be forged by the hands of a young individual, just waiting to make their mark...
