dad dropped a fucking racial slur the other day while talking about japadog, a hot dog company, which he was saying could be like "j*p-dog" and comparing it to a n-word themed burger place. fucking insane thing he brought up entirely out of the blue too (which i dont even think is an issue? it's japAdog which is clearly a play on japaNdog a la hot dog and not the slur and was started by japanese immigrants, i know he doesnt know anything abt the history of japanese candians bc gramma was so traumatized during the internment that she wont talk about it but STILL man idk it was an insane parallel to draw) and i said "you cant talk like that white baby" and he was like "no no im not even white im just saying its weird" im sorry who was it that JUST told me they dont identify as japanese-canadian despite being from japanese parents 🤔
