He had added a bunch of blankets and pillows to the couch, and was currently flipping through various movies, trying to find something to watch.

“So, how’s life? Is everything alright?”

With all the craziness of heat week going on around him, Mathias felt a little overwhelmed. He didn’t experience a heat, so he was lucky, but others in the castle seemed to be going wild. He needed to get outside and get some fresh. It was easier to do it now that he was purchased from the castle, so he was going to use his freedom to good use. He wandered the halls, looking for fun things to take home and keep (most of which were skeletal remains of small animals, or dead plants). He came across a slave with bight blue eyes like his own, and Mathias topped in front of him, “...You have really nice eyes”, he blurted out. 

Mathias was so happy to have made friends with Josh. The fae was interesting and his company was enjoyable. He also didn’t seem too put off my Mathias magic, which was a major plus for the necromancer. Still, he was careful around the other. Mathias feared he might hurt the fae in some way, so he kept his magic in check. 

He invited Josh over to spend time together, and ended up huddling close as they read through one of the spell books Mathias owned. It was all written in Latin, with scribbled notes in the margin that were written in some dead language that Mathias could read. He pointed out a spell for speaking with the dead and smiled, “That one sounds cool, huh?”
