Jørgen Nielsen comes from a family of pipe makers: his father was Viggo Nielsen, and his brother is Kai Nielsen, both renowned pipe makers from Denmark. In 1985, he and his brother founded the pipe factory Pibehuset in Tønder. Since 2002, Jørgen Nielsen has had his own workshop in Faaborg, on the island of Funen.
