Headed by Sayyid Badr bin Hamed bin Humood Al Busaidi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the campaign was launched on 16th October (2017) by Al Hilali.

In October 2015, the Ministry of Justice, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), hosted a seminar for law enforcement officials, judges, and attorneys to strengthen efforts to address and combat human trafficking and raise awareness on the issue. 

A bit outdated but “Twelve senior officials from the Government of Oman attended a two-day anti-trafficking workshop led by the ILO in October 2009. 

In April 2010, the Ministry of Social Development (MoSD)conducted training, in conjunction with UNSAFE, on preventing child trafficking. 

MoSD also worked with the Oman Women’s Associations to conduct lectures for Omani women on the human trafficking law, with an emphasis on domestic servants.

Oman implements the kafala (visa-sponsorship) system. Under this system, all migrant workers are dependent on their employers to enter, live, and work legally in Oman as they act as their visa sponsors.
