Earbuds blocking out a lot of noise, Jordan was listening to music as he walked. His mind was all over the place, though he finally snapped out of it upon seeing something fall in front of him. His mouth ran dry before jogged over to it. “Oh, uh, excuse me!” He called out to the person, feeling like his words came out weakly. Picking up the notebook, Jordan gave the guy a wave. “Hey, sorry, um,” he began, giving him a smile as he handed it over. “You dropped this.”

A gasp was released into the air as Jordan went stumbling, dropping the books in his hands in the process. He had just left the library and was walking down the street until that happened. Of course he would trip in such a public area. That sounded about right. Or heck, maybe he had tripped over one of the crows. That was possible too. Either way, he totally humiliated himself. Jordan grunted as he tried to get his bearings, staring over at the person who had been very close in proximity. “Ah, sorry,” he blurted, giving an awkward laugh as he picked up the books, using one hand to brush off his pants.

Somehow, Jordan had been convinced to sit down and have someone put some face paint on him. Thankfully, they weren’t doing anything extreme, and just painted small but cool little black swirls and designs along his right temple, near the corner of his eye. A mirror was handed to him, and Jordan was in awe as he looked at the artwork. “Woah, cool,” he breathed, nodding several times at the artist. “That’s really pretty, thank you.” Jordan glanced over to where Nish was standing near him, sending them a big smile as he hopped off the stool.

It seemed like there was an endless amount of things to do around the market, but Jordan figured it was good to take breaks too. Take a breather, away from the craziness of the crowded place. He was sitting at one of the tables, his sketchbook open as he casually drew some animals. From the corner of his eye, he noticed someone near and glanced up, only to realize he recognized the face from a coffee shop not too long ago. “Oh, hey,” Jordan said in surprise, sitting up a little more as he offered the guy a smile. “Uh, Santiago, right?”

It had to have been weird, the way Jordan was just standing there, staring up at a string of lights as if they were the most interesting thing in the world. But he was eyeing something specific, having noticed some of the bulbs were starting to go out. From the corner of his eye, he noticed a presence, jumping slightly at the sight of another near him. “Oh, uh, sorry,” Jordan blurted, apologizing for something he didn’t need to. He gave a sheepish smile, pointing up. “They keep flickering. I just... got distracted by them.”

The subway train doors opened and Jordan walked out onto the crowded platform, hand in hand with Giselle. “So!” He said with a big smile. “Where to now, partner? We could get some pizza, even milkshakes, shop around at the expensive tourist stores, go to Central Park…” He was rambling but it was because he was very excited to be there. Well, not just there. With Giselle too.
