Andhra Pradesh Launches Major Gold Mining Project, Targets 400 kg Gold Output in First Year
Andhra Pradesh is set to inaugurate the Jonnagiri Gold Mining Project in Kurnool district, marking one of India's largest private-sector gold mining ventures. Developed with an investment of ₹405 crore, the project aims to produce 400 kilograms of gold in its first year and expand output to 900 kilograms in the next phase. Spread across 1,500 acres, the initiative is expected to generate around 700 jobs and strengthen India's domestic gold production while boosting the state's mining and industrial sectors.
