"Corona Borealis" by Jongmee
Corona Borealis is a small constellation in the Northern Celestial Hemisphere. Ariadne betrayed her father, Minos of Crete, to be with Theseus, her first love. After a harrowing battle with the Minotaur and a narrow escape, Theseus promptly abandoned Ariadne on a lonely island. There, while grieving, she met the loving Dionysus, and a relationship blossomed. Smitten with Ariadne, Dionysus proposed, bestowing the Cretan princess with a beautiful crown. Corona Borealis depicts the crown received by Ariadne from Dionysus on their wedding day.
Symbolically, this is a card of new beginnings after loss. It represents a new love that grows stronger after the pain of a broken relationship. It is triumphant that love finds a way, despite pain and heartbreak.
Reversed, a person may be holding on to past tragedy so tightly they may not be able to move forward. Corona Borealis indicates that the querent should be careful of spending too much time in solitary thought, lest they are blind to the potential of new love.
