december will be unforgettable.
it’s not just the sweet promise of friendships that had blossomed in her wake. her journey- no, their journey has been an incredible one thus far; even more so in the passing months. and maybe her reflection of what they’ve accomplished has long been overdue, but in spite of her exhaustion she can’t help but feel a sudden rush of awe and pure elation. to think that everything she’d worked so hard for had come to this...to so much more than the awards and the attention, but to a sense of fulfillment. an aha moment- so this was what i’d been waiting for all along.
her thoughts are dismantled by the sound of footsteps steadily approaching, the couch soon letting out a soft groan as it sinks under the weight of another body. a smile’s quick to tug at her lips as she opens her arms without a word and lets the younger one lean into her embrace. “could’t sleep?” they’ve got a couple hours before they’re to return to preparing for their next comeback. even then, she’d been wide awake, too distracted by her thoughts to even close her eyes.
“i couldn’t either.”
