Zax didn’t want to leave his home. He still wasn’t entirely sure why he had to leave. He knew his best friend had woken him up in the middle of the night and told him he had to go. He already had a bag packed for him and was panicked and looked to have been crying.
No, no. Zax hadn’t wanted to go. But Dex had hugged him and showed him his crown, wrapped up in a shirt before he placed it in his bag. Don’t worry, My Prince. You’ll return here when you’re older and take your rightful place. But for now, you must go.
Zax ended up on a mountain and had spent a couple of days just living off the provisions Dex had provided and trying to understand what his life had become. But he’d run out of food, and soon the young alien knew he needed to move on and find food and water. And maybe someone to help him.
But he only took another fall. Someone helped him, tittering on about how she had no idea how a monster got in here! She’d let him sleep and eat, before Zax had wandered off when she’d gone to sleep, and past through a door. He’d regretted it almost instantly. Idavians were made to withstand heat, not the cold.
He’d turned to go back in the door, only to find it locked. Oh… Zax figured he would just have to go forward and hope to find someone. He sighed, teeth starting to chatter almost immediately as he turned to walk down the snowy path He passed what looked like a sentry station, but the only thing he saw was condiments behind it. Weird… He continued to walk along, arms wrapped around him while he shivered.
