It wasn't the essence of the room that scared Johnny, it wasn't the broken roses on the floor, nor the zip ties around his friend's wrists. No, it was the pink duct tape stripped over Easton's mouth that scared Johnny. It was Meant to disable Easton's screaming, to stop him from calling out. It scared Johnny to think that someone could do such a thing to his friend. Someone would go think far to keep a secret. It scared Johnny that maybe he would one day do the exact same thing to keep his secrets safe.
