HIHI i love your fics :3 Can you please do autistic reader that discovers their safe food recipe got changed so it doesnt taste the same anymore <///////3
HIHIHI!!! :] It's so lovely to talk with u guys like this :]
Something on autistic reader who's been surviving off a specific brand of frozen meals for weeks now. The community fridge is packed with them as every time any of the boys go out to the store, they buy you some and forget you already have many.
After sitting down to watch your favorite movie (again) and beginning to dig into your meal, you find that something tastes.. off. In fact, not just taste, but feels, off, like you may genuinely become sick if you continue eating this.
Almost immediately, you spit out what you haven't swallowed into the bin, alerting Kyle next to you who pauses the movie.
"What's wrong, dear? You feeling sick?"
A small shake of your head as you stare down at the plastic bowl like it personally insulted you. You try to pick at the food again, but the texture looks so off, like the vegetables are moving without your permission. Your expression must've shown your distaste as Kyle picks up the plate and fork and tosses them.
"That's enough, don't need you forcing stuff down that'll make you sick." He places a hand over yours, not grabbing you to make you hold eye contact, just a silent reminder he's there for you.
"What's different about it? You normally love those.."
"I think they changed the recipe.. the sauce tasted like shit," you spat, shuddering again at the aftertaste. Without prompt, Kyle hands you the water cup to drink from. You sipped from the curly straw, finding that watching the liquid brought you a little joy.
"Hm.. You think it could be just that one? I can make you another later if you're up for it."
You shake your head, leaning up against him. "I think I lost my appetite.."
"That's okay. We can rest for a bit, let your stomach settle properly, and I'll get you some fruit. That sound good?"
You only hum into his bicep, clicking the remote again to continue the show. He won't force you to feel better, but he'll at least compromise with you, and you think that's better.
