When I first started writing my Stranger Things Mileven fanfic When She Was Special, I had no idea Whateley House would become the primary setting. I also had no idea the Party would return to the House in the sequel.

Although none of the images below capture Whateley House perfectly, they each hold an element of its spirit. Together, they show the creepy, faded glory of the ancestral home of one of Maine’s first families. The Whateleys’ riches are now long gone and the family scattered to the wind.

If you’re wondering if the Whateleys of Bath, Maine are in any way related to the Whateleys of H.P. Lovecraft’s “The Dunwich Horror”...

Well of course they are.

Hello everyone, I’m launching a tumblr to support my Stranger Things fanfic writing and general love of all things Mileven.

I post my work at AO3 under the name Constantius. I’ve got one ~40,000 word completed story called When She Was Special and I’m working on a sequel called When He Was Special. The latter is approaching the end of Act 2; it’s currently at ~80,000 words and I’m guessing it will finish at around 120,000.

The stories are a mix of fluff, smut, angst, plot, action, adventure and comedy. They are Mileven stories, but the entire Party plus Steve, Jonathan, Joyce, etc. make appearances. The demodog D’artagnan also shows up and is a POV character in the second story, which has been surprisingly fun.

The stories begin roughly three months after the end of ST3 and I try to make them canon compliant (with a few liberties like Dart being alive). I do make some extrapolations now and then in places where canon is currently silent.
