Danzig - Live on the Black Hand Side (2xCD, 2001). This came out at a time in my life when I was living in such abject poverty that there was no possible way I could afford it. My buddy was kind enough to dub it for me, but I was always a little miffed that I had this hole in my Danzig discography. But I just found a great deal on this on Discogs, so that hole in my heart can finally heal. Disc 1 is the crown jewel here. It has live shows from 1992 and 1994 (including the legendary Irvine Meadows gig) with the classic lineup. These were the days of Glenn at the height of his powers, and even a single listen will educate today’s youth as to why he was hailed as a rawk gahd back then. Disc 2 is kind of meh because of the poor sound quality. The album cover is unintentionally terrible and looks like my first adventure with Adobe Photoshop in college. But warts and all, this is an awesome live album and one every Danzig fan should check out.
