@jodosalord liked for a starter!
Her father used to tell her stories of dragons. How they R U L E D the skies, and the hills. Said to always be respectful of the beasts, and never approach them. But Auren didn’t always listen, and you can guess what she didn’t intend to obey.
She’s slow, crouching as she enters the area of the beast, eyes glistened with wonder, staring at it’s large wings. Though she was afraid of heights, she always dreamed of hearing a dragon’s wings breaking the air as she flew atop one... Maybe she could.
“Beautiful...” She whispered to herself, managing to keep to the bushes, hopefully- out of sight.
Finding the King's quarters, as well as the wide, open balcony was easy when you could fly. It was evening, so the darkness had protected him, until he had elegantly landed on the marble and shape shifted to human form. The clothing here wasn't much different than back home, as he had decided to try and melt in properly. Time to see how clever the king really was.
It had been another one of those days, Cerus sighed to himself, as he closed the door of his own rooms behind him, pausing to, practically, catch his breath. When he had been missing home in the Wasteland, he'd forgotten just how mind-numbingly tedious politics tended to be; he was good at playing that game, but that didn't mean he liked dealing with all the fools he had to every day.
Speaking of which, he caught sight of the other man in the room, standing near the balcony;it was going to be one of those evenings, then, when some fool of a noble had somehow managed to get into the royal wing to pester him further. He discounted the possibility of an assassin at once; such a person wouldn't be standing in plain view, he decided, crossing the room briskly.
He didn't know this man; he had a good mind for faces and there was something about him that would have made him memorable, had they met before. A new arrival, perhaps; those seemed to think it was perfectly acceptable to go announce themselves personally to the king, nevermind the hour of the day or night. "Let's cut the pleasantries.Who are you and how did you get in here?"he asked coolly. Not a very polite tone, but he'd learnt long ago, being polite only encouraged behaviors he'd rather do without.
"You’re beautiful."
Etain looked up at the unfamiliar voice, smiling even as she looked over the stranger - sizing him up like a nightstalker sizing up a brahmin. Her lips curl into a smirk as her gaze meets his, and she gives a small curtsy.
"Thank you, my dear. You are not so hard on the eyes, yourself. And whom do I have the pleasure of addressing?"

She'd initially ignored the computer's bleeping sound, too busy with looking over the territory with her own eyes. No doubt, the equipment would conduct its own scans and gather information that she could look over later, but right now, she wanted a look of her own.
The computer bleeped again, more urgently, a flash of red along her contact screens.
<Caution: Temporal anomaly detected

What the hell was it with this damned Wasteland attracting temporal anomalies, Lir groaned. You could go to a dozen worlds and not encounter a single traveler from another world; and yet here, she kept getting the odd warning far too often for her liking.
She glanced ahead, noticing the solitary figure a second before the computer's warnings blazed up again. She blinked the messages away. She didn't need the computer to tell her who that was. She picked up her pace, catching up to him before very long.
"Well, then, fancy meeting you here, of all places", she said smoothly, taking his arm almost daintily.
