I'm about two weeks into "couch to 5k", a schedule that gradually ramps you up to "do a 5k" levels of fitness, and am realizing that every time I tried to get into jogging I was pushing myself way too hard and it was why I failed
(also I was doing it alone which is bad for motivation)
also two days ago I was a sad sack so I went dancing, and did the thing I discovered was a blast at the last Bay Solstice afterparty: fighting in slow motion with partners, trading punches and energy blasts (this is probably obnoxious in a crowded dance floor, which ours wasn't)
and. my butt hurts. I was doing a lot of squats I guess, bending exaggeratedly and slowly springing back upright, in all sorts of directions. Usually when I exercise a lot there's one muscle or one motion that causes problem afterwards, but today I woke up and the district north of knees and south of abs were united in a landslide vote of Nope
