Finally got around to watching Gael&Friends and this is honestly why Gael is one of the best players in history. He might not have won titles and majors, but every single match he's played has been a treat for those privileged enough to watch it. He gives people real joy and carries entertainment value in all of it. This is what tennis is all about, the love of the game, and I feel like now more than never when we value sport only in the number of points, ratings, percentages and other metrics, it's important to remember, that tennis is supposed to spark joy.
