I want to give you the pain burned into me but I can't let it go.

Part of me believes I'll never stop doing things like scanning the faces in the grocery store for you or checking your social media. Most of me believes that actually. Maybe I'll be over you, and there is an slight chance that I already am, but that scar will never fade. You were burned into my heart with such force by many people and I'll never forget that. And maybe someday, I hope we can go out for coffee so I can see you and tie up those loose ends. We'll talk for a while and it'll sting a little. But this story needs an epilogue before it's over. But I bet I'll still be searching the crowds for your face every time we could possibly run into each other.
