“Please tell me when did I ever show signs that i’m the type of person who listens pretty well.” Seojun is stubborn as fuck, he gets that. Though Jiwoo is as much and if possible, far more. He’s a tone deaf, methaphorically speaking. He hears what he wants to hear and forgets the rest. That’s how he is most of the time. Consistent, stubborn as a mule. Otherwise, he wouldn’t spend thirty minutes convincing the other to go with him. Half a fucking hour, such a lot of time to spent just by arguing. What a waste.
“Seriously, just go with me. It’s my money we’re using. All you have to do is go with me!” He’s seen his glare, laughs internally but let out a groan. His head is throbbing already and he feels his body getting fidgety. The more Seojun remains quiet, the thinner his patience is becoming. But he’s not about to give up. Not when he’s already using so much of his time, not when he scheduled his whole day for him and even gotten to a point of cancelling his date. “You got to look good for your folks you know. Show them you’re getting better. Come on. It’s just clothes. I’m buying it for you, son.” Challenge him to anything and he’ll accept it with passion. Victory is his and Seojun is going, whether he likes it or not.
Alright, so there’s two stubborn people stuck inside of a room. What do you get? Thirty minutes wasted on nothing, and a very, very annoyed Jang Seojun. Determination was a virtue, he would never disagree on that. However, that virtue could just as easily turn into a vice when it concerned Jiwoo ( and when it concerned himself; but he’d never admit to that ). ‘I told you to shut up, didn’t I?’ His voice remains flat, though the annoyance could be heard to those who listened clearly. If looks could kill, he was certain that his friend would have dropped to the floor by now.
No means no; it was as simple as that. The order could have been repeated a thousand more times, and the answer would still be no. ‘I don’t feel the need to prove them anything. Know when to stop pushing, hyung.’ If there was any topic he did not want to be brought up, it was his parents. Ever. There was nothing to prove to them at all. They would never be impressed, and he would never feel the need to try and do so regardless. To Seojun, their approval meant absolutely nothing. Without wasting another word on it, he grabbed his headphones and demonstratively covered his ears with them, turning up the music as loud as he possibly could.
That was that; end of story.
