She has said, “I am extremely excited to play the human computer, Shakuntala Devi, on the big screen. But what truly fascinates me is that you wouldn’t normally associate a fun person with Math…and she completely turns that perception on its head.”

From a reliable source, we have come to know that Manikarnika actor Jisshu Sengupta is playing the role of Shakuntala Devi’s husband in the movie. According to the reports, “Jisshu will play Shakuntala’s husband Paritosh Banerji. Since Banerji hailed from Kolkata originally, the makers found Jisshu perfect to play the part to the T. His character is one of the most integral parts in the narrative.”

Director Anu Menon is coming with a biopic next upon human calculator and Indian writer named Shakuntala Devi. It is an exciting project in which the titular character will be played by talented actress Vidya Balan. Here, Kahaani actress is expected to appear as a legendary mathematician. Due to her capabilities, Shakuntala Devi is given the title of Human Computer also. Pre-production of the movie is going on at the moment. So, cast is being finalized. It is believed that the makers have found Shakuntala Devi’s husband in Barfi actor Jisshu Sengupta.

In the past, Jisshu and Vidya have also worked together in the both version of NTR biopic. However, Jisshu has been seen in a cameo within the movie.

Right now, Jisshu is really busy with Mahesh Bhatt directed movie Sadak 2 with Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt. Last time, Jisshu has been seen in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.

Regarding Jisshu’s character in Shakuntala Devi biopic, we can say that he is playing role of an IAS officer who has married Shakuntala Devi in 1960s following to her return from London. However, they have decided to separate from each other in 1979.
