★ — one minute man !

maybe she’s just being sentimental. even after all this time, there’s still a part of dawon that misses nova—or, to be more specific, some of the nova trainees. that’s not to say that she’d sign with the company again if she had to choice (as she most certainly wouldn’t), but the relationships that had made her time as a nova trainee remotely bearable are relationships that she still misses today. maybe that’s why she’s leaving training early for the day, taking time from her training at royal to spend time with the people that she’s missed so much.

it’s a bittersweet feeling, being so close to sunmi in the environment of nova again. it reminds her of the team she gave up, for nothing more than giving herself a better shot at achieving a dream that she can only assume each of the trainees share—a part of her still feels selfish, even if she still believes her decision to have been the right one. each moment back at nova is difficult—each second feels like a lifetime. there’s a tight feeling in her stomach, a fear that others are looking at her scornfully, bitter over her decision. she tries to push these fears aside, hoping to make this a sweet memory instead. it’s a reunion of sorts, and she hopes to cherish it—though, in a way, she thinks it’s also a way for her to say goodbye.

sprawled out on the floor of the practice room, meiqi’s chest rises and falls, and the only thing she can hear is her heavy breathing. she’s waiting for wooseok to return from the bathroom so they can go back to practicing a choreography that she’s been working on.

his phone is propped up against the mirror to record their dance, so that they can monitor every little movement. meiqi, with her back still glued to the floor, wiggles her way over to his phone, grabbing it and switching to the front camera. she holds it above her face, thumb never leaving the shutter button while she pulls every kind of silly face possible.

for sometime, juyeon hasn’t been under the watch of her parents. it’s easy given the fact that she isn’t living with them, nor her little sister. she’s been under the care of her cousin, wooseok, for sometime, although juyeon has been a legal adult for nearly two years now, so there is that. still, there’s things at the family apartment that she’s to collect. her bedroom there has become more of a shrine to her memory, now she spends most of her time at sphere or at home ( home being with jin and her pet ferret, pearl ). 

these days she’s more or less absent from where she once knew to be home and she’s angry at herself for not going home enough. sure, she has sleepovers with her little sister when she can and she calls her mom when time permits, but home really is with jin and pearl, in their comfy, homely apartment. it’s been like that for a while. 

“you sure you’re up for this?” juyeon asks, crossing her arms across her chest as she looks across to her cousin as they ride the elevator, upwards to her parents apartment. “i mean, it’s probably going to be really boring,” she mutters, tapping her toe. it’s not as though he had much of a choice, even with himself being the elder and all. she had dragged jin along to help her sort through odds and ends, things her mother had been sorting through, things like that. “mom just said there was some things i could probably do with, y’know, paperwork, trinkets; heck, she even mentioned i got a couple of trophies i could maybe do with bringing home!” she exclaims as the elevator doors open.
