Song Review: JigJam feat. Lindsay Lou - “Running Back to You”

They kept it simple, but simplicity is what makes “Running Back to You” so special.

Irish bluegrassers JigJam recruited Lindsay Lou to sing co-lead alongside Jamie McKeogh and the results are tender and sweet as their voices waft over a jaunty melody woven in banjo, guitar and fiddle.

The only thing I’ll ever do/is keep running back, running back, to you, goes the refrain.

In lesser hands, such words might come off as trite. JigJam and Lou, however, mine their deeper meaning as love’s joy radiates from the vocals and the music reinforces the feeling.
