am i the only one who thinks Yoshi talking in the Galaxy movie would be super weird? even though he's had translated dialogue in the games? i just can't wrap my head around that 😭

also how are the Bros gonna find Yoshi? bc i'm pretty sure they're not going back to the Brooklyn sewers 🤷‍♀️

I agree that Yoshi talking would be weird. It's been done once or twice before in decades past, but the result always felt a little lackluster.

The scenario I'm envisioning for the Galaxy Movie is Yoshi having some famous actor as his internal dialogue while outwardly he makes the traditional "Yoshi" noises, but it would be even better if they stick to just noises and pantomime.

But I don't see why the Mario Bros wouldn't return to the sewers. After all, that's where the warp pipe between Brooklyn and The Mushroom Kingdom is located.

In any case, if there is a mysterious dinosaur trapped in the tunnels under Brooklyn, I don't know who better to call than the famous, dragon-defeating Super Mario Bros.

I'm in the middle of writing my Bowuigi fic and I hadn't seen the birthday present clip until recently! and this is what I wrote:
