i don't often have plans that do not involve my husband because honestly i am mostly a homebody. however every time i do have something planned, he finds a way to sabotage it. most of the time this means finding something he considers way more important that absolutely needs to be done just before i am about to leave or during the time i am supposed to be gone. he doesn't respect my wishes or plans and always selfishly forces his way. i want to start documenting this because it is literally every single time and i don't think he sees it.
so to start, today i have plans to go to a wine festival with friends and family that he was not interested in. at first, he insisted we need to paint our dining room instead. when i finally talked him into doing that task on sunday instead, we arranged that he would drop me off at my friend's place so he could use our car while i was gone for the day. then, just as it was time for us to head over to my friend's, he proclaims that he needs to go somewhere thirty minutes in the opposite direction. i disagreed and he became frustrated because i would not "compromise." we got in the car and he drove us to where he wants to go and i am still here almost an hour later because he wanted to kidnap me and hold me up on my plans because the driving route made more sense in his head. i am supposed to be at the festival by now....
