How does malae feel about jhanzas family? like does khajiit morphology surprise him intially? also what about jhanza at malaes family?
yeah its VERY surprising to him. jhanza is the first khajiit he ever met in general, and its especially weird since jhanza’s family is particularly striking (parents are two small cats, sister is a big cat, jhanza is elf shaped). i think hes just met them a couple times bc elsewyr is a long ways away but it was. interesting for him. he was half wondering if jhanza was adopted and his parents just didnt tell him, and once he understood the whole furstock situation he then went into a panic thinking about all the housecats he’s pet (what if those were PEOPLE?)
jhanza is the reverse. hes kind of easy going and doesnt question things often. didnt find malae’s family weird AT ALL (and they really arent, aside from living underground). he was pretty much fresh into skyrim when he got kidnapped and trapped in a tunnel, so he had no real understanding of skyrim’s socio-political landscape and none of this struck him as odd. malae’s family really likes him (after some initial nervousness about surface dwellers). their guard-chaurus are friendly to jhanza and only OCCASIONALLY spray him with toxins

malae and jhanza encountering obstacles
the rune on malae’s wrist is actually a “detect life/dead” type spell, which makes casting it entirely effortless. he has no functioning eyes, but the spell works with his heat vision (and has some effect on hearing) which gives him excellent accuracy. jhanza has no special augmentations but he’s helping :)
