James was beginning to regret agreeing that Lily should invite a chaperone on their first date. He’d been so preoccupied with the fact that Evans finally gave in, he hadn’t worried about any of the parameters she’d set.  Maybe next time he’d bring his own chaperone, Sirius was a good wingman.

(In a very self-indulgent AU where Sev and Lily stay best friends and JP and his buddies are made to stop instead of hurtling over the line during the OWLs)

Dom!James, who honestly doesn't show it but will show it whenever Severus is refusing to go to bed, but he also shows it when others are being rude, but he hates doing (he did the same thing during his bullying years so he just doesn't do it unless it's necessary-)

Switch!Lily, who can basically be the most obedient to follow orders yet, can turn stern at the flip of a switch (she also does this so Severus and James know when enough is enough)

I like to think it's how Severus felt when his feelings for lily first started, when he felt the softness in her touch, when he felt the kindness and bravery from her. When he felt those lingering touchs and yet she never did anything to show that she saw him more then a friend...

"I'm tired, I'm tired of not loving you"

Then, when James came along, Severus never thought his heart would betray him by jumping in, not fear but love every time he saw James

"My heart, my heart wants to hold you"

When he probably first saw wedding invitation for two people he loves, for two people who make his head feel light and make him feel like he can do anything...
