Demigender has a pretty loose definition and while it can be people who aren't very attached to their gender in the case of agender demigender people, that's not all!

Demigender is basically just being bigender between two genders, one binary and one nonbinary. It can be fluid, or you can be a combination of both, and how much you identify with both genders can vary person to person. There are some people who like to put their nonbinary identity first and call themselves demienbys rather than demiboys and demigirls, and it's possible to use the term to mean being bigender between two nonbinary genders too. For instance, agender and androgyne.

Some also use it to mean a very vague connection to one binary gender while being mostly a nonbinary gender. There's a misconception that the definition includes having your binary gender match your sex and that's not true. You can be demigender in any way regardless of your sex. There's a flipped misconception that your binary gender has to not match your sex as well, and that's also not true. There are DFAB demigirls and DMAB demiboys as well as DMAB demigirls and DFAB demiboys.

Demigender is a pretty broad term for a type of bigender and it can be fluid or static. It includes pretty much any form of bigender that is not male and female bigender. Though honestly, if someone male/female bigender did identify as demigender I don't think that'd really be a problem. Most people assume all bigender and genderfluid people are male/female though so demigender is kind of a thing for those who don't fit into that.

Why I like them: He’s interesting and well-developed. He’s a nice twist on the cliche Godhood seeking villains - yes, he wants to become a God, but it’s not that simple. His motivation is refreshingly complex. Plus he’s all tragic and stoic and that’s like fish bait to me

Favorite episode (scene if movie): I’m going to just choose a scene from the games. My favorite scene with Cyrus is when he’s at the Spear Pillar. When I first played Diamond all those years ago, that scene stuck out to me the most.

Favorite outfit: Just his regular outfit. He wears a suit in a couple adaptions but he looks a little odd in a suit IMO

Brotp  OTF: Is it okay to say Cyrus & his grandpa? Also, a cracky one: Cyrus & Archie (maybe also Maxie). I like the thought of them hanging out for some reason.

Head Canon: Cyrus’ parents weren’t physically abusive exactly, however, they regularly denied him food and would sometimes lock him in his room for long stretches of time. Because of this, even as an adult, Cyrus doesn’t eat much.

Unpopular opinion: I dislike Cyrus/Dawn. Adult/child ships are decidedly Not My Thing.

A wish: If DPPt are ever remade, I want him to have closure. My biggest hope would be for him to reform or get help in some way.

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: Don’t forget about him, Gamefreak. If you remake DPPt, give Cyrus extra attention.
