Apply For Our Summer 2014 Cohort

We’re excited to announce that applications for our Summer 2014 Cohort are currently open and in full swing. Although applications for membership to our growth accelerator at Work-Bench are open year-round, we only accept companies four times a year - with start dates in August (Summer), November (Fall), February (Winter), and April (Spring). Member applications for each cycle are accepted and evaluated on a rolling basis, so make sure to get them in as soon as possible. The deadline for our Summer 2014 Cohort is July 30, 2014 at 12:00pm EST.

If accepted for membership to our growth accelerator, enterprise technology startups receive access to our beautifully designed 32,000 sq. ft. workspace in the heart of Union Square, our top-tier community of enterprise technologists, entrepreneurs, and investors, and most importantly, our business development platform to help scale your sales and corporate customer acquisition for a full 12-months. We don’t take any equity, and startups pay market rate for studio desks and private offices.

So, if you’re an enterprise technology startup building disruptive technology focused on opportunities like big data, analytics, security, or mobility, and selling to large corporate customers, send us a note. We would love to talk to you.

We’re excited to announce a new event series we are launching at Work-Bench, called Enterprise Founders Upfront.

Given the complex and unique challenges enterprise startups regularly encounter - from scaling sales to navigating technical audits - enterprise education is core to our mission of powering the enterprise technology community here in New York City and beyond.

From our Work-Bench Workshops to Developer Talks and Office Hours, we’re always striving to bring together top enterprise startups, large corporate customers, and VCs, to share knowledge and expertise to accelerate the adoption of game-changing enterprise software.

With our monthly Enterprise Founders Upfront events, we will be hosting a marquee enterprise technology founder at Work-Bench to share his or her perspectives and insights on starting, executing, and scaling a massively successful enterprise technology business. We look forward to using this series as an opportunity to grow and champion the enterprise tech community here in New York City.

For the first installment of our Enterprise Founders Upfront series at Work-Bench, we are thrilled to have Dwight Merriman, Co-founder and Chairman of MongoDB, on Wednesday, June 11, from 6:30pm-9pm. Having raised an enormous $150 million round last fall, MongoDB is currently the highest valued startup in New York City. We’re confident that Dwight’s experiences and insights as a repeat enterprise founder will inform and inspire.

Our New Community Director

Hello all! 

I’m Jessica Lin, Work-Bench’s new* Community Director. I’m thrilled to be joining Work-Bench and the team, where I’ve been at work for the past 90 days, learning the ropes and working with our team to drive our member experience, develop enterprise events and workshops, and create compelling enterprise content and research.  

Our mission at Work-Bench is bold: to power the enterprise community here in NYC and beyond. We are doing so by by bringing exceptional enterprise member startups into our 32K sq ft space in Union Square and connecting them with Fortune 500 corporations, to collaborate, partner, and learn together.

Prior to Work-Bench, I was a Learning and Development business engagement manager at Cisco System. In my role, I worked with a number of business units, technologies and regions, on projects ranging from Agile transformation, culture, and innovation. I loved being part of a team that not only defined talent and development strategy alongside business leaders in Boston, San Jose, Dallas and Shanghai, but also identified and designed creative learning solutions to solve business challenges.

I previously created Harvard’s first experiential education and design summer fellowship program where I developed a network of local engineers, designers and entrepreneurs to collaborate with our undergraduate students in Cape Town, South Africa. And in a former life, I spent time in East Africa, working on global health & international development with a side of Swahili. Outside of Work-Bench, you’ll find me eating bagels, taking photos, and being a Jersey tourist in NYC.
