               IT WASN’T A QUESTION SHE enjoyed thinking about, because it wasn’t like she was trying to revert back to this old sense of identity -- when she’d been the Black Siren villain, instead of a healing woman, someone actively trying to change. But the question was one she deserved, one Jesse deserved an answer to. 

              “JESSE, JUST CALM DOWN FOR a second, okay?? Let me explain.” Dinah said calmly, somehow managing to keep a stoic expression in the face of such anger. “I told you I would never lie to you, I plan to keep that promise. But I knew you’d react like this, so I just- didn’t tell you.” That was just as bad as a lie, she knew that. 

               MAYBE THAT’S WHY HE was on earth 2. he needed a minute to catch his breath, to figure out what he really needed to do to keep going. maybe that’s why he was at jesse’s place, knocking on the door. they kept in touch, duh -- cisco & jesse were geniuses when it came to the multiverse so they had access to technology he couldn’t explain to talk to each other. but he needed to s e e her, not just talk. 

               WHEN SHE ANSWERED THE door, wally couldn’t help but let out a breath of relief, scratching the back of his neck.  ❝  hey. i hope you don’t mind a visit.  ❞  the speedster said, shy smile on his face. 

               SHE’D ALREADY SEEN THEM A couple times. First the cop, && then the businessman. The engineer came next, then there was a forensic scientist who never stopped talking, the actress from Australia, && how could she forget the gorgeous thief?? But that left one more that some had seen && she hadn’t. The genius. 

               DINAH WAS WALKING DOWN THE street towards her apartment, when the scenery bled to a different set of streets, ones she wasn’t familiar with. “Whoa- this is definitely not Los Angeles.” She muttered, letting out a soft laugh as she looked around. “We’re not in Kansas anymore.” 

               A SECOND LATER, HER EYES locked with the person she was sharing the space with, && almost without thinking about it she started to smile. “You must be Jesse!! Reese talked about you. && Barry, I think his name was.” She brought her hand up to shake, but then thought better, knowing they were still out in public. “I’m Dinah. Lawyer, from LA. Sorry, I didn’t mean to drop in like this, I was just... on my way home.” Brushing a piece of loose hair out of her eyes, she laughed again. 

               THIS WAS ALL SO NEW to her, after all. 

Time for another Green Arrow and Flash team up. No particularly big issue bringing them together this time. With the threat of impeachment looming over his head and the new team quitting and telling him they didn’t believe in him anymore, he had holed himself up in the bunker for a few days while trying to get some sort of lead on Cayden James and his crew. Felicity was taking care of a few things for her start-up and John had spent the day at ARGUS.

     It figures one of the days she’s summoned to her fathers office would be a day where some accident happens. or something. no one is telling her anything, all she knows is everything was fine, then her dad got a call and now everyone is in a rush, All her dad told her to STAY PUT KYRENE in his office before leaving her here, alone, again. She should be worried that he took his gun out of his drawer too. But. It doesn’t worry her at all.

    When the door opened a few minutes later, Ky was expecting her dad to come back, sorting out whatever issue and get back to yelling at her. But that wasn’t her father.

     It was laughable how pathetic it was. One of his wolves COWERING with a hunter, a hunter who’s job it was to kill wolves but was too pathetic herself to DO WHAT SHE SHOULD. Two rejects, cowering together. It was fitting.

     Even though his hunter, this small, alone, tiny hunter, was not cowering. 

     “That’s one plan. Or you kill her and save us both time. It’s not like she doesn’t have blood on her hands either.” Yarin said, eyebrow raised and fanged grin bright. What else was laughable was that this hunter, oh, there was something that she didn’t know, but he DID. “Or if you lack the stomach for that, I have another plan, little hunter.”
