Jesse had been thinking of this day since his grandmother introduced him to Suzuna. Not only had he been thinking of the day but he wasn’t even going to lie to himself and say he wasn’t thinking of the girl as well. He directed the driver to her home, stepping out of the back seat as he informed the man they would return, humming happily as he skipped to her door carrying a single white rose to offer her since it was after all white day and he would be spending it with her.

“You just cost me my meal,” the vampire turned with dark eyes to the person who’d just helped the helpless girl escape. And his fangs barred toward them as he grinned sinisterly. “Guess you’ll have to do.” And he lunged.
