On this day of Good Friday, sharing pictures of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where Jesus was crucified. The Church has been closed in the wake of #covi̇d19 pandemic, after 1349 when it was closed during the pandemic of Bubonic Plague. Wonder what, it's a representative from Sunni Muslim in Jerusalem who is entrusted with opening and closing of the Church. And for years the keys have been passed from one Muslim family to the other - just so that even by accident one Christian sect doesn't end up crossing beliefs of the other - and also to make this important spot about human kind. With its intersection of different religions and beliefs, #Jerusalem is the focus of tolerance, coexistence, and multiculturalism. For Christians of different sects from Lutherans, Greek orthodox, Egytian orthodox, Protestants, Armenians, Coptic Christians, Fransiscans etc, everything merges at the Holy Sepulchre. Every belief and ritual finds a mention, and on important days they all merge, and not just they the entire holy city comes in unison. #jerusalem #jerusalem_city #holyland #holylandexperience #goodfriday #easter #easterbasket #israeli_moments #israel_view #oldcityjerusalem🇮🇱 #jerusalemcity #traveltales #spiritualityawake #culturelovers #culturetrip (at Jerusalem, The Old City) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-zSbDMl8Jr/?igshid=162u3bf29ebof
