Part of my youth died last night. So many memories, some vivid and some VERY blurry, of his concerts in Luckenbach, Gruene, Lubbock and many other areas around the State. An amazing songwriter and Texas legend. I doubt I'd have ever tried sangria wine had it not been for JWW. RIP.

Born Ronald Clyde Crosby; in Oneonta, New York With some early flirtations with pop music, he came of age during the folk music revival in Greenwich Village in the 1960’s. He recorded his seminal 1968 album Mr. Bojangles with the help of David Bromberg and other influential Atlantic recording artists.
