Born Ronald Clyde Crosby; in Oneonta, New York With some early flirtations with pop music, he came of age during the folk music revival in Greenwich Village in the 1960’s. He recorded his seminal 1968 album Mr. Bojangles with the help of David Bromberg and other influential Atlantic recording artists.
