...is almost actually a real thing that you can hold in your hands or download onto your tablet. SANTA VS. ALIENS is making its debut at the ALTERNATIVE PRESS EXPO.

I finished coloring the artwork for the first issue yesterday, almost exactly a year from when I started designing the characters. Not the fastest turnaround, but it has been a back burner project and despite the long gestation period I'm pretty darn happy with the results. The bulk of the past month has been spent blasting through the coloring stage and at this point I am ready to take a long break from my wacom tablet. 

But I thought it might be cool to celebrate with some of my process snapshots from the past year. 

The project has def given me a headache or two, but it's a really cute story that I could see fitting in as the Ed Wood cousin to those Rankin Bass claymation specials of old.
