Hi people! How are you and how is your life?? I am going through some major changes in my life and honestly, they do feel scary but also exciting! I won't reveal what's going on now but you will find out on 1st September! I was so giddy today, it's been a long since I met my little brother and after such a long time I met him and had dinner at home with him and it was sooooooo cool. I am so happy!!! Song: I Am Rare by Lee Minhyuk (BTOB). Suits this book so much cuz everyone is unique and rare in their way. Book: The Prince and The Dressmaker by Jen Wang. Genre: LGBTQIA+, Gender Fluidity. ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟 This book had me smiling throughout. The story is very sweet and small. The illustrations made me so happy! The story is about a poor dressmaker who is appointed by the Prince to make women's dresses for themselves (don't know the pronouns so referring to the character as they/them). The story was quite refreshing and the best part was the ending. The ending had me tearful and smiling and I didn't know what to say. I will be rereading this book again and again as it is so cute and sweet. The plot and the book portrayed such a nice message of being who you are and not being afraid of flaunting your personality. The book also portrays trying out what your heart says you to do and never giving up. I overall loved this book so much! ➡️En la vida real Desde que leí El principe y la modista quería leer este cómic anterior de Jen Wang. No sabía ni de que iba pero madre mia ha estado a la altura con creces. En la vida real nos cuenta la historia de una adolescente gamer que entra en un clan de un MMO. Allí conoce a un chino farmer, no estoy siendo despectivo o racista es que es un adolescente chino que ademas trabaja siendo farmer en el juego literalmente, el caso es que gracias a eso la protagonista empieza a darse cuenta de que ella tiene mucha suerte de vivir donde vive y de las malas condiciones de vida que tiene otra gente en otros paises. Es un cómic que habla de videojuegos, de economía pero tambien de empatizar y de ser solidario (y de meter la pata). En unas pocas paginas consigue que te preocupes por los personajes como si todos fueran tus hijos. Una pasada. Ay, si supieran que la sanidad puede ser pública para todo el mundo como aquí... The sweetest book ever! I so rarely read graphic novels, but I was very interested in this story after seeing an article about it. Was very happy to find it was at BAM when I went. Stargazing: a story about two young girls from varied backgrounds coming together in a way that leads them to learn more about the world and themselves. What struck me about this series is how the conflict sneaks up on you. Based on the setup it seems like where things will clash Are obvious but it holds back and ends up being this delightful read of kids enjoying being kids. Eventually though problems do surface and in fact escalate quickly. I was taken aback by home much the climax hit me on an emotional level but the book succeeded at getting me to Really care about these characters. Where it comes does come as a little extreme and nearly contradictory to what came before however knowing it came from a place of reality and how the resolves makes it all work. Prime esperienze con le graphic novel... Ho iniziato a leggere graphic novel quest'anno e non potevo scegliere titoli migliori. Al momento mi piace molto perdermi tra le pagine di storie davvero attuali con disegni capaci di incantare. 🖌 ⠀ È il caso de "Il principe e la sarta" di Jen Wang edito da Bao Publishing. Una storia tenerissima con illustrazioni spettacolari. Un fumetto che mette il lettore davanti alla necessità di essere se stessi. In un vortice di pagine colorate, vestiti, pizzi e serate alla moda, la storia scorre veloce ed è impossibile non rimanere toccati dalla storia del principe Sebastian e della sarta Frances. ⠀ Due bellissimi personaggi che sanno aiutarsi a vicenda.
