jenna: So hypothetically, if I knew I was going to be going through a weight change soon, how would that work with the musical? Like... my measurements for the costume are going to change.

jenna: HEYY this is Esme, right?

jenna: Because I really can't explain why I'm asking this (please don't ask why because I can't tell you) but I figured you would know the answer

“So, how’s our lovely Sharpay doing?” Jenna asked as she mixed the dressing in with her salad. Breaks during rehearsal weren’t her favorite time of the day, but they sure offered for some good socializing. And unlikely socializing. Jenna was a little bit scared of Esme, mostly as a result of the rumors she had heard mixed with the enthusiasm for autopsies, but she was all for facing her fears. 

“So...” Jenna felt awkward. But this was an acting exercise, she reminded herself, and Eli was unoccupied. So... What Would Nora Swindle Do? Upon seeing her musical’s director at a party, looking all broody, what would go down?

It didn’t help, of course, that Jenna felt kind of awkward about the whole thing. She was more of a sleeper-cell flirter. She knew a guy for a while and once she was comfortable she pulled the moves, once she knew the kind of guy he was. Eli, however... she took a deep breath, turning to him.

“So, you’re goth? How’s that... going?” 

jenna: Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

jenna: This is so awkward but uhhh

jenna: This number is on the wall of the boys bathroom?

jenna: I was in there because I'm doing a project on graffiti so I got permission from Simpson to take pictures of whats on the walls

jenna: And I don't know you or if you even go to Degrassi but your number was on the wall with an arrow pointing to it saying "Loose Lucy!" so

I’m more of a “Riptide” girl.... but off the top of my head? I’d say I’ve done Wonderwall at, like, four parties. Maybe five. Eight if you count family reunions.

Jenna made sure her approach of the basketball cutie/acquaintance/not-quite-crush-but-getting-there was slow, but deliberate. She was much less drunk than she thought she was (it was her second time drinking, so that was only natural), but the stray rumors she’d heard about KC and Esme were pushing her his way. Even if they’d barely talked, she still wanted to suss out the situation.

“Fancy seeing you here!” she greeted. She squinted, for a moment, at his hat. “I’m guessing you are... the cook?”
