Jenkkilä, literally “yankee place”, is USA.  Jenkkisänky = yankee bed = king size bed (these first two examples are straight from onnenlintu’s post). Jenkkifutis/jenkkifudis = American football. Jenkkikaappi = yankee cupboard: surprisingly enough, this is a fridge+small freezer combo! Google image search for an exact idea. Jenkki is also a name of a bubblegum, because only the Americans show two rows of Perfect Teeth while they smile (it’s a xylitol bubble gum, very good for the teeth) Jenkkihymy, yankee smile... sounds like smiling like an American, right? It could be! Or maybe we’re talking about an American-made car, usually an old model. The front looks like it’s smiling, that’s why. Sometimes, if the car is also very expensive-looking, we call them dollarihymy (= dollar smile) instead. Jenkkirauta - yankee iron - is likewise an American-made car, but definitely an old car model. We also use amerikanrauta, American iron, and jenkkirassi, yankee car (this one’s definitely large and pompous, but doesn’t necessarily have any finesse to it; main point is that it looks good and is shiny). Jenkkikassi = yankee bag. Google image search, this one is a specific kind of a bag. Jenkkitukka/jenkkisiili = yankee hair/yankee crop. A box-shaped, very short hairstyle, kinda army. Jenkkityylinen = yankee style: anything that’s massive/flashy/shiny and absolutely tasteless, and you love it
