Jelvysprite is said to have come from space. When you hear thunder, you can sometimes see them floating down before rain falls. Jelvysprite are very friendly and enjoy approaching humans and observing them. Young Jelvysprite often make the mistake of shocking humans or other monsters, as this is how they communicate with each other- but once that mistake is made, they are never observed to do it again. They can also communicate by making making low noises, vibrations that are easily picked up through their thin skin, and by flashing their lights at each other.
Two Jelvysprite that come from different areas will initially have difficulty communicating, but they are very quick to educate each other.
They are quite friendly towards Cruistaceans, which seem to be resistant to its lighter shocks meant for communication. This doesn't mean they cannot get into conflict, however, as the Jelvysprite's curious nature can make the paranoid Cruistacean worry that it will take things from its hoards.
Airlioon and Jelvysprite get along due to both being Wonder types, in opposite directions- while Airlioons generally have an affinity to go higher, into space, Jelvysprites want to learn about the Earth they came from.
In contrast, Jelvysprite and Auleioumi find it difficult to get along with each other past the initial meetings. Auleioumi enjoy the attention of curious Jelvysprite, but it misinterprets Jelvysprite's curiosity for other things as dismissal, which, in turn, aggravates the Jelvysprite and causes them to fight.

Jelvysprites are based off of jellyfish (specifically the bloodybelly cone jelly and these types of lightning:
(x) (pixies aren’t in the picture, but they inspired the “eyes” for the first two stages)
cruistacean are based off of the blue swimmer crab, with the first stage and last stage being a paper boat and a motorboat respectively.
both of them are stages of the life of sea creatures!
Design Changes
Neither of these have had many design changes because they haven’t existed for so long. other sketches of jelvysprite-3 are on the main image, and the other two were drawn only once before:

Foils
Jelvysprite: first set of foils are based off of the genderfluid flag, and the second is cruistacean’s palette, and the third set are supposed to be electric colors- bright yellow, blue, green, and magenta. i hope its not too eye-strainy ;^^
Cruistacean: first set is based off of the aroace flag, second set is jelvysprite’s palette, and the third are just supposed to be water-y colors.

I tried doing something that emulates Pokemon’s box sprites, and I think I like them more, so i will be doing sprites like that instead of front facing ones. I will eventually make them for Poltegoat, Luscangel, Micelium, Powketroo, Dracumulus, and Canaroc, though i dont know when
