Hey remember in 358/2 days when they got a day off and Xion spent it training the workaholic?

“Xion?” Naminé tilted her head to the side, confused by what she was seeing. “What are you doing?”

Xion, who had her keyblade in hand and was in the middle of practicing the forms she’d learned from Aqua, paused to answer. “I’m practicing.”

“That’s the opposite of what we’re trying to do,” Naminé said, shaking her head. “Remember? I said I wanted to help you relax.”

“I am relaxed,” Xion said with a bright smile. “It was a good idea to come to the beach, it’s nice being here.”

“Well, don’t you think we should do something… different?” Naminé asked. “You can practice at home, but coming to the beach means you can do different things.”

Xion vanished her keyblade and looked at Naminé, who had the benefit of knowledge of the world outside the organization and a pre-existing hobby. While Xion had showed up in comfortable shorts and a tank top, Naminé wore a sundress over her bathing suit and carried a basket with snacks and her sketchpad. One of them was dressed and prepared for a day at the beach, and the other had started combat work the minute her feet hit the sand.

“Um…” Xion put a hand to her chin thoughtfully. “... I could get us some ice cream?”

“That’s a good start,” Naminé said, suppressing a giggle behind her hand. “Why don’t we start by just setting up, will you help me with the blanket?”

Xion seemed to perk up at a clear and defined task, and quickly took the blanket from Naminé and spent several minutes looking for the “perfect spot” before laying it out over the sand. Naminé was quick to make herself comfortable, pulling her sketchpad and colored pencils out of the basket and setting them aside for later. Xion sat down too, though she remained slightly stiff and kept glancing back to Naminé as if looking for guidance.

“Do you want to swim?” Naminé suggested.

“Oh, I don’t have a bathing suit,” Xion stammered.

“Oh… well we’ll get you one for next time!” Naminé said. “We could do something else. We could build a sandcastle, or look for shells…”

“Can we do both?” Xion interrupted, stars in her eyes. “I’ve never made a sandcastle before, and I want to add to my seashell collection.”

“Yeah, we can do both.” Naminé beamed, almost overwhelmed with how cute her girlfriend was. “If we collect seashells first, we can use them to decorate the castle.”

That seemed to excite Xion more, who grabbed Naminé’s hand and helped her to her feet before pulling her down to the water’s edge.

The sandcastle ended up taking most of the day, as they kept adding more wings and towers and pressing tiny seashells and twigs into the sand to make stained glass windows and banners. When the tide rose and a wave threatened to topple the castle before they could get a picture, Xion used a barrier spell to protect it. Unfortunately, when the water hit the barrier it splashed up and soaked Xion instead. When Naminé doubled over laughing at the surprised and yet resigned expression on Xion’s face, Xion spared only a second to pout before retaliating by redirecting the next wave at Naminé. This quickly escalated into a splash battle which ended when Xion tried to lift Naminé to dunk her and ended up slipping and dunking them both.

A lot of people hate that the Game Grumps were involved because they tend to make distasteful jokes (at least from what I can pick up on). Granted some stuff they joke about is inexcusable (even though I personally like their playthroughs), but I REALLY have no energy for “your fav is problematic” culture anymore

....................I mean, I hate that I have to listen to Vic Migakjhfjhgshgsdvfj whenever I want to watch Ouran High School Host Club but I don’t go around hating on Funimation or the show itself for casting him as one of the leads....
