Crime Traveller is a 90s TV cop show by Anthony Horowitz where the lead duo use time travel to solve crimes. The series ran for only one series in 1997, and focused on Jeff Slade, a police officer who plays up to being a maverick but always come through, and police science officer, Holly Turner, who spends her free time carrying on her father's work in building a time machine.

Turner is played by Chloë Annett, more well-known playing Kristine Kochanski in Red Dwarf; and Slade is played by Michael French, previously of Eastenders.

While Holly and Slade don't quite get together in the show, the chemistry between them is palpable, and many fanfics take it as read that they either are a couple, or play with how they got there.
