Okay so usually I would stay out of this but I'm so done

More recently I've been playing Mercy and I've been enjoying it, she has become my support main. I've only just got the hang of using her and now they're nerfing her...

She is the only healer I really enjoy

And she is becoming useless

I can't go battle mercy because my computer is trash and it doesn't let me change weapons so thats a personal problem but I liked that I could just heal people

When you do a round of "Total Mayhem" and you can constantly rez your team it feels amazing. Yeah its OP but thats the point of "Total Mayhem"

In normal games she's only useful if you know what you're doing

The fact that they are nerfing HER and not someone else who has unfair auto-aim or way too much DPS, it just pisses me off

The dps players complain when you don't rez them or can't heal them in time but with the nerfing its not the fault of Mercy mains

I mean, I'm a freaking Junkrat main. I ALWAYS try to thank Mercy when she heals me or when I get a rez, and I try to keep the mercy alive because she keeps us alive.

The gratitude of your team is sometimes worth it but if we keep nerfing her...all she gets is hate

Doomfist: Actualy that’s a VERY GOOD QUESTION.

But also, does the game really need another Hot White Woman™ or could we go back to the good ol days where character drops actually diversified the cast and lore in a way that was compelling?

Like good lord, don’t get me wrong, I would pay cash money for Ashe to headshot me point blank. I’m not exactly disappointed with the addition of a literal lipstick lesbian. But also, it’s important to at the very least acknowledge the issue.

I truly do respect the time, effort, artistic talent, and manhours it takes the dev team to create new characters. But fans have been asking for a black female hero since release, and this is the second skinny white girl that was originally intended to be dark skinned (I’m looking at you Miss Aryan Medic).

Maybe I’m jumping the gun a bit in calling Blizzard out about Ashe specifically, since she’s so new and we know so little about her, and since Jeff HAS said that there are several other heroes in development that will add more to the mix. But a lot of Overwatch’s appeal to many people, including me, is that it’s one of the most diverse mainstream games available. And day one fans have been asking for a playable black female hero. Yet the last four drops have been three white women a hamster. It’s not hard to feel like the desires of fans of color have taken a backseat.

I mean, I can never be mad about an additional female character. It just feels like a bit of a step back.
