Jed Luckless Band At The Bayou!
Those of you who follow Jed Luckless online know that the Jed Luckless Band has been in the works for sometime, and you've watched it grow from a duo with the addition of Stram to a full blown original jam band when Ken and Mark joined up.
Now, after much anticipation, the Jed Luckless Band takes the stage in Westchester County, at legendary local music venue The Bayou, in Mount Vernon. Jed and the boys will be rockin' two sets of music including Grateful Dead, Phish and original tunes.
The evening promises to be an historic one for the JLB and we hope to see a few of you there! :)
What: The Jed Luckless Band LIVE Where: The Bayou, 580 Gramatan Avenue, Mount Vernon, NY When: Saturday, June 4, 2011, 11pm Why: To rock Westchester County!
Phish Bowl II
It’s that magic time of the year again – when we celebrate Phish and Football! Now in its second year, the Phish Bowl is sure to be an annual tradition for years to come. Those of you who joined us last year remember the phantastic time we had at the show, which featured two sets of Phish tunes played live by Jed Luckless (last year’s show was on 2/6/09 and it was actually the first time Jed had played two full sets of Phish. My, how far we’ve come! You can hear last year’s show here: http://www.archive.org/details/jed2010-02-06).
This year promises to be even more phun, as Jed once again will be rocking two full sets of Phish from Terrapin Stadium on Darkstar in Secondlife and on JedTV at www.jedluckless.tv. In addition, the event features pre-game festivities, a box pool with prize awards based on the set list (see below) and the halftime presentation of the trophy for best Phish show of 2010. We hope you will join us for this very special annual tradition: What:Â Â Â Â Â Â Phish Bowl II Where:Â Â Â Â Terrapin Stadium, Darkstar, SL & www.jedluckless.tv When:Â Â Â Â Â Saturday, February 5, 2011, 7pm EST (5pm SLT) Why:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â To celebrate two things we love, Phish & Football and to win prizes!
Read on for info on the big Phish bowl box pool!
The Phish Bowl Set List Box Pool Phish Bowl II continues the tradition of the Set List Box Pool! We’re expanding upon last year’s pool with more boxes and bigger prizes! It works kinda like a regular Super Bowl pool. We have 100 boxes up for grabs for a donation of $2.00 per box. You can purchase as many boxes as you like. When you purchase your boxes, you can specify which box numbers between 1 and 100 you wish to claim. If those numbers are available, we will assign those boxes to you. If they are no longer available, we will assign the nearest available number.
Once all boxes have been purchased and filled in with names, we will reveal the randomly assigned Phish song title for each box. Prizes are awarded based on the Phish song played by Jed to open and close each set (i.e. similar to four football “quarters”). 100% of donation proceeds from boxes (i.e. $200 if all boxes are sold) will be donated to winning pool participants, based on the following prize ratio: Set I Opener:   $25   Set I Closer:     $50 Set II Opener:  $25 Set II Closer:    $100 *If all boxes are not sold, we reserve the right to restructure the prize makeup and/or amount, but in all cases 100% of the monies will be donated to the winning participant(s). This is a great chance to win some prizes while having a super fun time with good music and good peeps! Boxes are limited so get in on the action today! To purchase your box with PayPal for $2.00 click here: http://www.jedluckless.com/phishbowl2.htm
To purchase your box in Secondlife Lindens for $L500 contact Beachy Piers via notecard. Good luck and see you at the show! PS: For those of you who follow the odds, last year’s winners were: Wilson, Poor Heart, Runaway Jim & Prince Caspian :)
Happy New Year from Jedtainment!
2011 is here and with it the promise of many exciting things at Jedtainment! But before we get into that, let’s recap the fantastic 2010 we had:
We streamed over 50 shows live online at Darkstar in Secondlife and on JedTV. During those shows we made a ton of new friends in-world and out on twitter, facebook and elsewhere.
We had three major ticket giveaways, for Furthur at MCU park and MSG and for Phish at Jones Beach (where we met more great peeps and had a concert in the lot!)
We had two “second annual” events: our 2010 Halloween Space Jam and the Holiday Revue 2010. During the Holiday show we raised $600 for charity (more than double what we raised in 2009!)
And last but certainly not least, we released our first CD, “All At Once” from Jed Luckless (now available on jedluckless.com, digstation.com, cdbaby.com and other outlets).
None of this would have been possible without the amazing support of our fans! We feel so lucky to be a part of this community. To all our fans, friends and everyone who made 2010 a great year for Jedtainment, we say thank you! So what’s ahead in 2011 you ask? Just have a look:
Our second annual Phish Bowl is right around the corner (on Feb. 5th!). Join us for this festive celebration of Phish and Football. Two sets of Phish tunes with Jed, compete with setlist box pool and Phish Bowl trophy presentation for best Phish show of 2010.
Stramland Studios goes live! Some of you know we had some studio issues late last year. Well, Stram to the rescue…we’ve outfitted his basement as our rehearsal and broadcast studio and will begin playing shows from there in January. And we specifically set it up to allow for four players because…
2011 will bring the launch of the Jed Luckless Band! We’ve been looking for the perfect complement of musicians to support Jed’s CD on tour this year and we’ve found some fantastic ones. Stay tuned to hear more from Jed, Stram, Colorful K and a hopefully soon to be named key player. Expect to live shows starting this spring, online and at local venues.
More CDs! Jed is already back at work on the next batch of originals. But we know how rapidly he works *grin*. So in the meantime, we’re planning two live CD releases in 2011, including a compilation of fan picked Jed intro jams!
And of course, we’ll be reaching our “third annual” on a few events, and we hope you’ll continue to celebrate these traditions with us! Once again thanks for all your support and we look forward to another great year filled with friends and music!
Jed Luckless CD “All At Once” Hits Wide Release
The Jed Luckless CD “All At Once” was released on December 15, 2010 and the event was celebrated at Hotel Chelsea in Secondlife with an all-originals show from Jed, highlighting cuts from the album and featuring CD and t-shirt giveaways. We were thrilled to see significant pre-orders for signed CD’s coming in through www.jedluckless.com (some early orders even got signed guitar picks included!). Signed copies are still available, but now you can also find “All At Once” at other outlets across the web, including www.digstation.com, www.cdbaby.com, and others. Shortly, it will be available via Itunes, Amazon and other online retailers that our distribution partner works with. "All At Once" is the culmination of years worth of writing and recording, and reflects various sides of the artist and musician, from deep, soul searching pieces and heart-wrenching ballads, to energetic, electric jams. Full previews of all songs along with lyrics and more can be found on www.jedluckless.com. We hope you enjoy the music. Let us know what you think and thanks again for all the support!

Holiday Revue 2010 Update
On December 23rd, 2009 we held our second annual Holiday Revue at Hundred Year Hall on Darkstar. It was a fantastic evening filled with fun holiday tunes, dancing, cheer and lots of goodwill.
This year’s show was a benefit for The Box Project, a charity organization that helps fight poverty in America by matching donors with families in need. Due to the amazing kindness and generosity of the Jed Heads and others, we raised $600 USD this year. That’s double what we raised in 2009!
The donation was presented to the Box Project with the following note:
Dear Phellow Philanthropsits,
We represent a community of individuals drawn together around a common interest in music, love and a culture of peace and understanding. Each year, our organization Jedtainment holds a holiday benefit concert to raise money for a worthy cause. This year, The Box Project was selected as the beneficiary and our show raised $600 in donations from over 30 individuals for your charity.
On behalf of Jedtainment, Jed Luckless and all of our friends and fans, please accept this donation with our sincere thanks for your work in the fight against poverty and in making life a little brighter for American families in need.
Sincerely, Jedtainment
Thanks again to everyone who made our 2010 holiday event a major success and all those who donated their time, money and dancing shoes to the cause…we look forward to doing it again next year and for many more!
p.s.: if you donated and would like a copy of the receipt please contact [email protected].
A Jedtainment Halloween!
Happy Halloween folks! It's that time of year when we get to hide our identies and eat lots of candy...whoo hoo! It's one of Jedtainment's favorite holidays and we're celebrating it in a few different ways... For those of you who were hanging with us a year ago, you'll remember our off-the-hook Halloween Extravaganja at Alligator Beach on Darkstar in Secondlife. Jed was decked out in imperial naval garb, and played two sets of thematic Grateful Dead songs. Everyone was costumed in pirate related attire, including our host who came as a mermaid! One of the highlights of the show was Jed narrating the ghost story of "Black Peter" and the curse on Alligator Beach.
This was before the advent of JedTV so there is unfortunately no video of the show. But we do have audio! So to get you amped for this year's party, we're posting Jammin' Jed's Halloween Extravanganja 2009 on the Archive for your pre-Halloween listening pleasure. Speaking of Halloween listening pleasure, there's been a lot of clamor to release Jed's classic "The Pumpkin Song" and we shall wait no longer to oblige. "The Pumpkin Song" was written and recorded by Jed one Halloween long, long ago (1998 to be exact). A lark of a tune, inspired by a late 90's PC screensaver, it went on to become a fan favorite of the day. Long since collecting dust in the bargain bins, we have rescued "The Pumpkin Song" and brought it back to be shared with all of you! Enjoy!
[DL/Listen to "The Pumpkin Song"] Last, but certainly not least, Jedtainment is pleased to announce Jammin’ Jed’s Halloween Space Jam 2010!
This year’s Halloween party will again be on Darkstar in Secondlife, but this time we’re blasting off! We’ll be partying in outer space and the set list for the show will be made up of space and science-fiction songs. The second set will hold a special surprise, and Stram will be sitting in for at least some of the show. Costumes are not required, but we encourage you to don your best sci-fi related outfit! This year’s show will also be broadcast on jedluckless.tv. Mark the date and we hope to see you there! What: Jammin’ Jed’s Halloween Space Jam 2010 Where: Space Park, Darkstar / www.jedluckless.tv When: October 27, 2010, 8:30pm EST Why:  To dress up funny and dance around like crazy people We hope you’ll join us for this special evening!
