"Should I stay with you?"
Worried Sentence Starters
Ed tried to answer, he did. To do something other than sit there huddled on his bed, knees pulled to his chest and staring blankly at the foot of his bed. It didn't feel like his heart was going to give out anymore, breaths evened back out, but the air was still buzzing. It was loud, air wasn't supposed to be that way. Loud and heavy and humming, and somehow it was bright. The lights were out in the whole house but somehow the air was bright. What the hell even was that?
His voice wasn't working again yet, instead Ed managed to glance at Envy through his bangs and uncurled enough to move over and grab a hold of the other's arm. Curling against his side and just, trying to be small. To keep himself safe because as much as part of him wanted to insist he'd be okay, that it was nothing to worry about, the rest of Ed wanted to beg Envy not to leave him alone in case his skull found the magical "on" switch again or the air turned to liquid for him to drown on next.
Instead he just hugged the arm tightly and swallowed hard against any more crying.
