#marshall #jcm900 had a failed output transformer. Issue with this era of Marshall is they seem to oscillate no matter which way you put the anode leads on if you put a not terrible output transformer on them. They work fine on a resistive dummy load but oscillate as soon as you put it an inductive one (speaker).
