Missing you, each day.

Needing you, to stay.

Until the sun and the moon meet, though,

Broken;

You can’t stand the pain anymore.

Your knees weaken,

Collapsing to the floor.

“Do I even really matter?”

You think, your heart shattered.

Again.

You feel no love from anyone,

Even your family and greatest of friends.

You’re a nuisance to all who know you.

A burden.

Make it go away. Make it all go away!

“I want to disappear!” you scream.

But nobody hears you,

‘Cause nobody’s there.

Drowning.

A life you never wanted,

Coming to an end.

All I want to do is sleep.

But when the night comes,

I can’t help but weep.

Staring blankly across the room,

I sit and listen to the sound of nothing,

Lost in thoughts of despair and gloom.

 Will this pain ever go away?

I ache for it to end!

The fight in me did not stay.

A broken soul unable to mend.

My days are filled with darkness,

             while my nights are filled with light.

The nights are when I’m safest

             from the demons that like to bite.

You’d think days full of brightness

             would keep me from the fright.

But my thoughts are what consume me,

             and bring the monsters to life.
