As Jules and Mila wait at the crash sight for any appearance of Vampires, Jaylen makes her way home over near the abandoned hotel, and one begins following her....

MICHAEL- “Darien said I could borrow his truck, is that okay?”

JAYLEN- “So you don’t own your own car? I thought your family was well to do. If your well to do, why don’t you have your own car>”

MICHAEL- “I have a car, but it is in Willow Creek.”

JAYLEN- “Well, what good is that doing us here, now?”

MICHAEL- “I said we could borrow Darien’s truck.”

JAYLEN- “Fine, if that is all that is available, I will need a blanket or something to sit on, as I am sure those seats are disgusting in his truck.”

MICHAEL- “You didn’t seem to notice last night when I brought you home.”

JAYLEN- “It was dark, I couldn’t see anything, today I can see the filth, can you get me a blanket of something to sit on, something preferably white??”

MICHAEL- “Sure, I will be right back… I will get you a blanket and change my shirt. (Mila was right, this girl is pretentious! he almost was thinking out loud...)

TIMOTHY- “So what do you think about spending the night at my place?”

DARIEN- “What about your parents, and your little sister?”

TIMOTHY- “I am 18 now, and my step-mother probably will not even be home, and dad and Rose will already be in bed by the time we get home. You promised when I turned 18 that we could...you know---”

DARIEN- “Are you sure this is what you want, Timothy?”

TIMOTHY- “More than anything, please say you will stay the night.”

DARIEN- “Okay, I can do that. I will have Michael take my truck to get Jaylen back home, as her brother dropped her off here, and then you and I can go back in your car. Not a problem for you to take home in the morning?”

TIMOTHY- “Not at all, or you could just spend the rest of the weekend.”

MICHAEL- “Well, it looks like it is just you and me back on the road to Strangerville, Jaylen. Darien is going home with Timothy.”

JAYLEN- “That’s fine. Just as long as you don’t try no funny stuff. I never do anything on the first date.”

MICHAEL- “OH...No, I wasn’t thinking about that....”

JAYLEN- “Really?  You are a gentleman.  I think I am going to really like you, Michael Boedell.”

JAYLEN- “So, Michael I was thinking that if you are going to be my boyfriend, you need to buy me a gift.”

MICHAEL- “Really? I have only known you for like 20 hours, you really think a gift is appropriate?”

JAYLEN- “You don’t?  Maybe like a ring or necklace...something.”

MICHAEL- “I will think about it, so you want to go to Ruby’s?”

JAYLEN- “That’s a grease hole, I can not eat that stuff.”

MICHAEL- “So what can you eat?”

JAYLEN- “Seeing how I am a vegan, I think we should go to a place in Oasis Springs that I know, they cater to vegans, all natural, wholesome, home grown food. And you need to put on another shirt, no one needs to see your stomach.”

MICHAEL- “Vegan sounds appetizing….”

MICHAEL- “Sorry the vegan place was closed, I hope this was okay?”

JAYLEN- “It was fine, i mean it was a tomato salad, you can’t really screw that up. So now what are we going to do, so far this date is really lame.”

MICHAEL- “Sorry that I am not entertaining enough for you, so you want to go back home?”

JAYLEN- “That is not what I meant, it isn’t your fault, but the entire day has just been a waste, from the moment I woke up. First my mother was yelling at my dad for some inane reason, then my brother decided it would be a good idea to flush his void critters in the toilet, which made a mess, that mother made me clean up!  I can not wait until I am away at college and not have to deal with all that shit. Plus, I ran out of my favorite eyeliner!!!”

MICHAEL- “You look perfect, Jaylen. But I am sorry you have had a bad day. Maybe I can make it up to you.”

JAYLEN- “Really, so you do have a gift?”

MICHAEL- “Well, it is not anything new, it’s something I wear. Kind of like a family heirloom.  I would like you to have, Jaylen.... A necklace.”

DARIEN- “It seems like it’s been days since I’ve seen you, Timothy.”

TIMOTHY- “I know, I have been so lonely since yesterday.”

MICHAEL- “Would you two please stop, you are beginning to make me nauseous! And it was less than 16 hours since you guys were hanging out at the apartment. I thought you said this Jaylen was going to meet us here.”

DARIEN- “She will be here Michael, be patient...”

JAYLEN- “Someone here say my name?”

MICHAEL- “Oh...are YOU Jaylen?”

JAYLEN- “Yeah, you must be Michael?”

MICHAEL- “Yeah... I wasn’t expecting someone---

JAYLEN- “What, someone what??”

MICHAEL- “Someone so beautiful...”

He shows her the necklace. It seems to be glowing somewhat, and is very old looking.

MICHAEL- “This is a necklace of protection.  The wearer is protected from supernatural forces.  I would say in this town it would be practical for you to wear it.  I heard that there is a bunch or vampires out at the old plane crash site.

Jaylen looks at the necklace and then pushes it back towards Michael.

JAYLEN- “You really think I would wear that?  It’s hideous, Michael. Who in their right mind would make such an ugly piece of jewelry.”

MICHAEL- “It wasn’t created for aesthetics, Jaylen, it was created for protection. You don’t have to be so rude, I was just trying to make a gesture of friendship.”

After he finally got her off the dance floor and away from the annoying stranger, who was a little creepy to say the least, Michael found a secluded area where they could “talk”...

JAYLEN- “So, Michael Boedell, what is this? Are you coming on to me?”

MICHAEL- “You could say that, but I like you Jaylen and I think that we would be good together.”

JAYLEN- “Good together as in for tonight, or for over an extended period of time?”

MICHAEL- “I was kind of hoping for over an extended period of time. I mean if you would like that.”

JAYLEN- “Honestly, I would.  You seem sincere and nice, and you are strong, and very handsome.  Perfect boyfriend material.”

MICHAEL- “Did anyone ever tell you that your eyes are like gems, they glisten and sing to my mind...”
