When Robbie had stared up at him with concerned, tearful eyes, the superhero had relented and turned the doorknob. Inside was the equivalent of a college student’s dorm room, clothes littering the unmade bed, dirty silverware resting on the desktop, and the closet overflowing with random oddities.

The superhero had went straight for the closet, assuming the glitch would hide there amongst the center of chaos. He had begun to move boxes out of the way, hardly pausing to read the labels on each one. “Anti, come on, Robbie really wants to go to the zoo with you!” Finally, he paused as he pulled out a sizeable box.

As he opened the cardboard flaps, Anti suddenly appeared just a few feet away. “DON’T TOUCH THAT-“ But as he yelled, the superhero dropped the box in shock. Boom! – the fireworks exploded. Jackieboy and Anti were sent flying through the window into a nearby tree.

The superhero had been slammed into a higher branch, breaking his leg with a snap. Anti, meanwhile, had smacked his head on the tree trunk. The two stayed still, groaning in pain.

“Anti? Can you…glitch us down?” The glitch dizzily glared at the offending superhero. “What cha’ think, stupid? If I could, I would’ve left ya’ by now.” He rested his head against the solid tree trunk. “Head friggin’ hurts…”

“I can’t fly, broke my leg. So, until somebody sees us, we’re stuck for a while.” They awkwardly sat beside each other, Jackieboy leaning on Anti and Anti leaning on the tree.

“Antee?...Jack-boy?” “Yes, Robbie, we’re up here! Can you go get Schneep and Marvin?” “Heck no...” muttered Anti. “Don’ bring that freaking cat guy out here…”

“Rob…get Schnee an’ Marv!” The zombie shambled off to find the two egos.

“Dang, Anti, no witty comebacks?” “Shuddup.” The glitch lifted his head to slightly face the other. “Y’ know, if we die up here, ya’ know what I’ll regret?” “What?” “Not flippin’ ya’ off more.” With that, Anti lifted an offending finger and laid his head back on the tree trunk.

“Come on, you can’t still be mad!” The glitch said nothing, scooting away from the superhero. “Anti, come on! How was I supposed to know that you kept freaking fireworks in your room?!”

“I dunno, maybe not bein’ nosy in the first place?” “Robbie was looking for you! He wanted to go to the zoo with you!” “Yeah? An’ you jus’ had to waltz in, huh? Jus’ had to open the freaking closet and pull out boxes! Idiot.”

“Hey!” Anti simply held a hand up, turning away again. “Head hurts.” He muttered, squeezing his eyes shut. He paused, then stuck his finger up again. “Dun’ wanna have regrets.”
