a HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL THEORY
that chad liked troy in the first movie, which is why he came up with the plan with taylor of aplitting gabriella and troy, and taylor got closer yo chad and gained a crush, but chad didn't reciprocate that crush, but is pretending he does bc he doesnt wanna let people know hes gay, which is why he is the NUMBER ONE CONTROBUTOR TO STICK TO THE STATUS QUO
so he starts dating taylor to fit in, and taylor doesnt know hes gay
and eventually he gets over troy, but finds RYAN and hes like "YO THIS CHANGES THE ENTIRE BALL GAME" pun intended
and starts hooking up with ryan, but still dating taylor, and ryan has no shame on letting people know hes gay and that he wants chad and chad wants thag cookie so effing bad but doesnt wanna let people know hes gay, whoch is why "i dont dance" happens
and ryan is trying to convince him to accept himself but chad is so prominent on fitting in that he cant
ryan loves chad and chad loves ryan but he CANT be gay because SOCIETY
and they hook up at the end and switch clothes bc chads like "....okay maybe" and hes willing to drop more subtle hints, but doesnt wanna break taylors heart
which is why his promposal to her was so weak at first bc he doesnt really want her like that
and is forced to do it more elaborately, and now ryan is more focused on college so they slowly split since ryan is going to be on the other side of the country and chad was mad, and UPSET BC KELSI GOES TO KISS RYAN
AND THATS WHY CHAD TUNS OFF TO THE BASKETBALL COURT BC HE REALLY JUST- UGHHHDKDLELLF
