How would Cassie react to Doey being 3 kids in one body? And would she talk to them individually if she knew? Who would she get along the most with?
I think some of it would depend on how Cassie would acquire that information.
Like, would she find it the way we as players do, through collectable papers/notes and VHS tapes? Or would Doey himself tell her (does he himself even know???)
Either way, to say Cassie would be deeply disturbed would be an understatement. It's a level of cruelty you fiirst would question from its sheer amount ("No way people were capable of THIS against CHILDREN..." kind of thought,) but it's ultimately undeniable with all the evidence. Cassie would find that the adults who contributed to all of it and their sheer readiness for it are (or were) tenfold scarier than any of their 'creations'. It would be a huge heavy sort of information for someone like Cassie to digest.
Back to the first questions, if Cassie found all this on her own, she'd go through great distress processing it. If Doey told her himself, she'd still be very distressed, but would externally be just a little more put together to process it, for Doey's sake.
As for which of the three boys Cassie would get along the most with, I really think she'd get along well with all three- yes even Kevin. His anger is honestly justified and probably she would even relate to him in some way-- the feeling of betrayal and struggle to trust afterwards is something she herself is experiencing rather freshly now. This ability to relate might even help Cassie become another source to calm Kevin when he's getting riled up- by helping him soothe himself back down rather than suppressing or holding him back.
Now the one I think she'd relate to the most would be Matthew; some of it may be a bit headcanon-based regarding Cassie though. They both would have a lot in common, being ultimately caring and sympathetic towards their peers, and the guilt that comes with their suffering, even if it was just beyond them. Yeah no, Cassie would feel a lot like how Matthew does, and he probably would be a even little freaked out by seeing so much of himself in her, knowing firsthand how much weight it is to bear.
Lastly, Jack may be one who Cassie has the least in common with but they'd still get along well, and they do have some common ground even if fewer; they both would understand the sadness and longing to return home, but it's not simply returning to their houses' locations, the house alone is not home, and anything that made it into a home is no longer in there. On a brighter side, they both would also have common ground in having favorite characters (Jack's being the Doey mascot judging by how happy he was with his Doey toy, and Cassie's being Roxy.)
