For the process nerds: I threw a tiny gif together of how this piece got made, from screencaps I grabbed along the way (which is why it doesnt look the same size throughout).
I usually color block everything in one go, but this time I worked in pieces like how I work with regular gouache or acrylic paints, with a rough idea in mind of what I want. It allows for fun and a bit of discovery as I go.
Flora/Fauna I + an alt. version
This was a doodle that sort of got away from me, once I started messing with rendering leaves, reflecting back on my work in 2011, when all I did was render work.
I couldn’t decide on a background color, though, so there’s the original plus a color background version now.
Olive Branch Copic markers & Ink There’s too much going on in the world. This is the only way I can express myself about those things, in the best way I know how.
